EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA 2019

The Friends of Grange Park are excited to be hosting another year of the Easter Eggstravaganza in Grange Park, Old Coulsdon, from 11AM to 3PM on Easter Saturday 20 April. There will be activities for the whole family to enjoy including an Easter Trail (£2.50 per person) around the park with a CHOCOLATE EGG prize, cakes and refreshments, face painting and crafts. The Easter Bunny will be hopping over to see us as well, eager to meet everyone! All activities are available throughout the event. We are pleased to be partnering with the Old Coulsdon Cupcakes WI again this year serving up delicious cakes and treats. We also welcome a new partner, the Creation Station Coulsdon and Banstead, who will have lots of fun arts & craft activities available. Also a big thank you to our sponsor this year, John Brown & Mark Youll Estate Agent. This event is run by volunteers, and all proceeds go back in to Grange Park, Old Coulsdon.

The Friends are consulting on Phase II improvements at the Old Coulsdon Village Fair on Saturday 1 July...

What improvements to Grange Park would help you get more ACTIVE in our community: Outdoor Gym, Pathway around Grange Park with Trim Trail, Ball Game facilities, Play equipment for 12-18 year olds? We would like to know! Our second phase (if we can raise the money) will focus on the wider community aged 12 and upwards, having recently accomplished the complete transformation of the children's playground for the under 12s.

The Friends of Grange Park will be surveying members of the community at the Old Coulsdon Village Fair on Saturday 1 July from 12 noon to 4.30 p.m. Our pitch will be located immediately outside the entrance to the playground and we will have a display board of ideas for future improvements.

If you represent a community organisation or local business and would like to sponsor future improvements or carry out out any fundraising on our behalf, please come and talk to us at our stall. Donations on the day are most welcome!

We will also be offering children the chance to make their own crazy sand art as part of our fundraising efforts- stocks are limited so do make a bee-line for us!

EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA 2017!

Back by popular demand we are hosting our annual Easter Eggstravaganza in Grange Park, Old Coulsdon to raise funds for further improvements to Grange Park.  Bringing you our ever popular Easter Egg Hunt around the park (with a regular size Easter Egg prize) delicious fresh cakes and drinks, face-painting, raffle, crafting with the Under 3s, bouncy castle (weather permitting) and much more, this promises to be a day of fun for all the family.  We look forward to seeing you there and we welcome this year's sponsors of our event, Park & Bailey, Coulsdon.

More information coming soon, but the Eggstravaganza will follow a short ceremony starting at 10.45 a.m. at the War Memorial to dedicate Grange Park as a Centenary Field, in commemoration of all those who lost their lives fighting for our country in World War I.  This is the culmination of a several years' hard campaigning by the Friends of Grange Park and supported by our local councillors under this initiative led by Fields in Trust, which will mean that Grange Park will forever be preserved for recreation in our community, and CANNOT BE BUILT ON.  Grange Park is the only park to be dedicated under this initiative by Croydon Council, and we are grateful for their support in safeguarding this treasured area of green space.  We hope you can join us for this short event, and celebrate the Friends' efforts.

We're taking a break!

As you can imagine, after two years of fundraising and design development, the trustees are taking a well deserved rest- so we've no events planned for the time being.  However, may we ask that you take our survey in the 'Survey' section of our website, to help us to decide what future projects we develop for the community.
